The names and location of most of his brother William’s children (in Missouri in 1826) is based on “Power of Attorney” papers filed in Northampton Co. in 1826, when William’s brother Thomas died, and his property was distributed to heirs, William’s children receiving equal 1/8th shares of William’s 1/9th share of Thomas’s estate

Regarding the Arthur Hays who married Mary boon.
Arthur Hayes Sr. was the son of Thomas Hayes and Lucy BARNES daughter of John Barnes ( born about 1726). They lived on Patty’s Delight Swamp.
Arthur Hayes Sr. married Mary Winbourne the daughter of Philip Winbourne
They had the following children:
1. John Hayse who married Sarah Deloach, the daughter of Moses Hare in Edgecombe.
2. Jesse Hayes born about 1765 in Edgecombe who married Mourning Allen, The daughter of Richard Allen. Mourning Allen Hayes went to live with her father in Wiccicanne after Jesse’s death before 1780.
3. Kinchen Hayes, born in Edgecombe, who first married the daughter of Samuel Parker, then Married Silvia Bell, the daughter of Samuel Bell.
Jesse Hayes, the son of Arthur Hayes, and his wife Mourning had one son: he was the Arthur Hayes who married Mary Boon about 1824 in Northampton. They lived about a mile east of Garysburg North Carolina. The property was recorded on a Gilmer Map commissioned during the civil war.
Note Thomas Boon married a sister of Philip Winbourne.
