Note from James Hollomon: Under Aug 1833, That name that could not be read should be Rena. I believe that is short for Marina. Jacob and Millie (Millicent) his wife (who died Nov 1849) lived next farm to John and Marina. They had three children, the two girls were always referred to by nicknames, Rena, sometimes Reny and Sindy. The son was Malechi The children were probably born between 1810 and 20. Sally that is mentioned in this same grouping was the widow of Jason who died ca 1832. Believe this Sally was also a widow of Samuel who had children Jacob and William

  1. Hi good afternoon 🙂 I am working on the Holloman line in my husband’s family tree. I have Whit Holloman’s wife as Emily, but I don’t have her maiden name. Some have it as Hoggard while the others have it as Susan or Emily Susan Godwin. The death certificate for their daughter, Susan A (Holloman) Byrd had the mother’s name as Emily Hoggard, but the last name was crossed off and left blank. Another death certificate for their son, Efferson Delbridge Holloman, has the mother listed as Susan Godwin.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

By the way, in about 2004, I believe, you helped me solve the mystery of my husband’s ggggg grandparents, James Outlaw and Nancy Floyd. This is why I am turning to you for help 🙂

    Thank you in advance
    Peggy

  2. I’m looking for the parents of William Bird Holloman. He was my third great grandfather. He’s buried in Lockhart TX. His wife was Minnie Coopwood. I have been unable to trace back to his parents and I’m assuming his middle name “Bird” is also a family surname. Perhaps his mothers maiden name.

    Shawna

  3. I am looking for information on my ggggrandmother was Frusia/Fruzy Holloman born 1829 in Tennessee. She married Burton Cooper Cox in Osage, Missouri. I have found that some researchers list her parents as Christian Holloman born in North Carolina and Mary Smith. Other children listed for Christian and Mary are:
Mary, Joseph, Nancy, George, Elizabeth, and Hetty.

I have no further information on Frusia or her parents. Do any of these individuals sound familiar? I would appreciate any assistance.
    Thank you,
    Shelley Aguilar
