James Parker, Judith & Samuel Eure of Sarem NC

Sally’s 3-great Grandparents:

James Parker ca 1765 – 1805 | his parents
& ca 1782 Judith Parker? ca 1765 – 1823 | her parents
& ca 1810 Samuel Eure 17xx -1815 | his parents
of Sarem, Gates County, North Carolina

This is my working hypothesis – the way I see it as of this moment!!

James Parker married Judith ca 1782.
Josiah Parker transferred land at Sarem to his beloved son James Parker in 1786.
James Parker first appears on the Gates Co tax list in 1786.
James and Judith Parker [signing with their marks] witnessed 15 May 1797, a deed from James Jones and his wife Sarah to Jonathan Rogers. Proved Aug Ct 1797.
Census:
1787 James Parker 2 males under 16, one male over, one female
1790 James Parker 2 males under 16, one male over, two females
1800 James Parker 2 males 0-10, 2 10-16, 1 16-26, 1 26-45; 2 females 0-10, 1 10-16, 1 26-45
James Parker had died before 18 Feb 1805 when Henry Copeland was appointed the administrator of his estate.

Judith may have been a sister of Henry Copeland 1753 – 1823, who was the administrator of her husband James Parker’s estate in 1805. Henry was the son of William Copeland and Sarah, his wife.
Then again, she might have been a Riddick, a sister or aunt of Lemuel Riddick, who bought the family home at a sheriff’s auction and then deeded it to Judith Eure in 1815.
Looking at the children of Judith and James Parker, their second son was named Peter, which may indicate that her father was a Peter, possibly Parker, who lived nearby. Peter Parker, the miller, son of Richard Parker III.
