– meeting place: Brazos Center, Bryan 9:30 a m 2nd Fri
– Landscaped “Safety City” a miniature city block located in the back of an elementary school (then known as A&M Consolidated Elementary School). There children were taught traffic rules. This “city” was in use until recently and served many classes of school children. [In 1992 the site was needed for other use so “Safety City” in need of repair, was demolished.]

Dona Coulter Carnes 15 Sept 1878 – 3 July 1980
Charter member of the A&M Club and
remained an enthusiastic member until her death at the age of 101
“Miss Dona” was the wife of Malcolm Carnes,
co-founder, owner and publisher of the Bryan Daily Eagle
She was the editor of the Social Column from 1901 through 1930
