           This is my working hypothesis - the way I see it as of this moment!! 


  Robert Parker,  son of Richard Parker , was born ca 1718 in what is now Gates Co NC.
10 Nov 1739 Robert was witness to deed from Samuel Harrell to Peter Parker, his older brother.
 Robert lived on Bennetts Creek, Gates Co, NC on land he purchased in 1778.
Married ca 1765 unknown
Robert Parker married second bef 1781 an Abigail last name unknown.
Robert Parker died by 21 Aug 1797 when Robert Jr made an inventory of his estate.
Abigail Parker married Lewis Morgan 21 January 1801.

    Note: Ray Fouts "Some of his land is now covered by the waters of the northwest end of Merchant's Millpond;  some of his lands are now bisected by US #158 between Central Junior High School and County High School. This highway crossed Honey Pot Swamp, between the two schools..."

Item- I give and bequeath to my said sons Richard Parker, Peter Parker, Daniel Parker, Stephen Parker, Robert Parker, Francis Parker and to each of them fifty acres of land lying on Mehearon Pocoson below Pughs Ferry I say to them and their heirs forever.
Item- I give and bequeath to my said son
Robert Parker the Plantation and land I bought of James Ellis containing about sixty acres I say to him and his heirs forever.
Item- I give and bequeath to my fore said son
Robert Parker five shilling cash to him in full for his part of my personable estate I say to him and his heirs forever.

Gates Co Court Proceeding Nov 1798 ----Ordered that the four Commissioners who made a division of the Real Estate of Robert Parker decd amongst the Heirs be paid the sum of Ten Shillings per day and the Surveyor the sum of Twenty Shillings per day for their Services Five days each & Six days to the Surveyor.

State of North Carolina, Gates County, know all men by these presents that I Robert Parker of the County & State aforesaid being of sound & perfect mind & memory do make & ordain this instrument to be my last will & testament in manner & form viz.
First it is my will that all my just debts be paid in as short time after my decd by the sale of my parishable Estate as the Land will permit.
2nd I give unto James Brown my nephew all my land & plantation where on I now live also my two negro women Aggy & Milley with a desire they may remain on the plantation & that said James Brown shall pay unto Abraham Parker one hundred dollars, unto Ezekiel Lassiter one hundred dollars & unto Mary Cross one Hundred Dollars to them & their heirs forever.
3rd I give unto my Niece Elizabeth Parker my negro man Giles to her & her heirs lawfully begotten & if she should die without an heir aforesaid said negro to be divided between James Brown, Abram Parker & Mary Cross Equally.
4th It is my will that my perishable estate be sold & out the money arising therefore I give unto Louisa Parker, Eliza Parker wife of Peter, James Brown, Willis Brown my Nephew, Priscilla Hays & Nancy Bond each Five Shillings to be paid by my Executors hereafter named.
5th Lastly I appoint Abraham Parker & James Brown my executors to Carry into Execution this my last will & Testament revoking all other or former wills as witness I have hereunto set my hand 5th Novr 1822.

Codicil--I Give unto the Heirs of Abraham Parker decd each five shillings & the remainder of my Estate of whatever nature I have to be Equally Divided between A Parker & Jas Brown
