1796 - 15 Nov 1870 daughter of Bonce [is it Bond
or maybe it's Bose]
Minchew and Elizabeth his wife. Elizabeth married 2nd Hance
Hofler,whose son Hance Hofler married 1847 his step sister, her
daughter Carolyn.
Benjamin Hayse, the son of James Hays and his wife Mary _______, was born 22 May 1778.
Benjamin Hays the son of James and Mary Hays died March 14th 1833 ( from
Bible of Asa G Hofler.)
Priscilla Parker, daughter of Robert Parker and his 2nd

On 15 June 1830, Benjamin (his x mark) Hayse (seal) signed his will in the presence of
Sophia Williams and John Walton. May Court 1833: exhibited and proved by John
Walton....administration with the will annexed was granted to Henry Gilliam.tem,
to loveing wife Elizabeth Hayse the following negroes slaves (viz) Demsey, Lucy,Gilley,
Wiley, & Henry with all their futur increase also two cows & calves, 12 hogs with
all my household & kitchen furniture whereon I now live It being formerly the
residence of my wife before our marriage.
Item, to my son Willis Riddick Hayse part of the tract whereon I formerly lived bounded by
Bennets Creek, the mill grit (as called) up to the honey pot road on said road to the land
of Lassiter Riddick decd heirs from thence to the heirs of Thomas Riddick decd from thence
to the lands of Charles Williams, then to the heirs of Thomas Riddick decd again thence to
Bennets Creek.Tract contains the dwelling house & other improvements approx.200 A.,
one horse, first choice, and one feather bed bedstead & furniture.
Item, to my son Robert Parker Hayse the rest of the tract where I formerly lived not given
away to Willis R. Hayse bounded by the mill Gist, Willis's line to the honey pot road
thence along said road to the land that I bought of William Parker at the Holly tree
branch thence down said branch to John D Pipkins line thence on Pipkins line to Elijah
Harrell line thence Harrells line to Bennets Creek thence the creek to the first
station,approx. 200 A. also one negro boy named Harry son of Lucy, one horse, second
choice and one feather bed bedsted & furniture.
Item, to my two daughters Lovina Hayse and Sally Hofler the tract of land I bought of
William Parker and whereon Zachariah Hayse and his wife Lovina Hayse now lives to be
equally devided leaving Lovina in possession of the part on which she now lives approx. 80
A.
Item to my two daughters Martha Hayse and Sophia Hayse each one feather bed bedsted &
furniture & one cow & calf to each.
Names Sally Hofler trustee of daughter Mary Hayse, a helpless child.
Item to Robert Parker Hayse $100.
The balance of negros not sold to pay his just debts or given away go to these five
children Maragret Williams, Elizabeth Hayse, Cynthia Cross, Martha Hayse, & Sophia
Hayse. All perishable estate not given away to be sold and the money equally divided
amongst my nine children viz Margaret Williams, Lovinia Hayse, Elizabeth Hayse, Sally
Hofler, Cynthia Cross, Martha Hayse, Willis Riddick Hayse, Robert Parker Hayse &
Sophia Hayse.
